Does anyone have any Glen D. Hardin stories they want to share?
I am aware of his great musical contributions.

I guess you only want some personal experiences, Chris? If not only, there's a nice little anecdote in GP's biography on page 172.

Joachim, any stories anyone has to share.
I went to an Everly's show at the Cape Cold Melody Tent, in the 90's, and Buddy invited me to the "green room" for something to eat and he introduced me to Glen.
At that time, I knew of Glen's work with Emmylou Harris and a few others, but when I saw his "track" record on Allmusic.com, I was blown away.

I was reading an article about the Beach Boys and the article mentioned Buddy, Glen and James Burton were hanging out together in LA in the late 60's and early 70's and that peaked my interest to know more about Glen.

You're welcome Chris. He along with Larry Knechtel and Earl "Pool" Ball are one of my favourite Piano players. I have an autograph signed by the latter.

Bunky Keels... I will keep his name in mind. Maybe a little far fetched, this is a song about another 'ivory tickler'. Nicky Hopkins. One of the greats also.

Ahh yes, Nicky Hopkins. A quick story about him.
I was playing in Jono Manson's band at Club West, in Santa Fe, in 2002 and we were doing sound check in the afternoon and in walked a gentleman I did not recognize. I was moved to jump off the stage and approached him and shook his hand and exchanged greetings. It was Nicky.

What a nice memory! I got the Earl P. Ball autograph at a Johnny Cash concert. They had just finnished and he was packing a little of his gear. I mentioned the Sweetheart record and the Flying Burritos to him. I guess no one in the hall knew who he was.
