My L120 has taken to shorting- full on; Whoa!
I don't feel confident in my ability to troubleshoot & repair, especially if the pot needs replacement/restringing.
Who can do a repair on one of these with a quick turn around?

Coincidentally, my L-120 shorted last night at a gig. I called Goodrich, and the gentleman there was very nice, said he'd get a new one to me soon. 760-547-1260 is the number there.

You look to be located in a somewhat densely populated area.
If you mail it off somewhere for repair, a "quick turnaround" will probably be at least a week.

There are no music stores around you?
There are no TV/radio repair shops near you?
There are no colleges near you with an electronics department?

Jim Palenscar did two for me about 18 months ago and added the tuner out mod. Quick turnaround and I've used both 3-4 nights a week ever since. Problem free! Can't go wrong.

I believe Bill Ferguson is a dealer. He has all the parts to rebuild. He recently did both of mine and even replaced the worn rubber grommets on the bottom screws.

Jim Palenscar now owns the company too. Shipping up and down the east may save a few $$.

Dave,
It is a very primitive piece of gear. Take it to an amp guy or a buddy with a soldering iron and a multi meter. Just don't take the string off ! Sounds like a simple short to me. We can look at it with skype together if you want. I'm free daytime tomorrow or even tonight for another couple hours.

Stringing them up is easy but can be tricky.

Shoot me an email or pm.

Dave,
I will be happy to help you any way I can.

Could be a simple short in a wire or maybe a bad volume pot.

You can call or email me.
