A year or so back there was a guy who had taken up PSG and was posting regular progress reports,,some were funny (we could all identify with his frustration),,all were intersting,,,however,,,he hasn't posted in a while now,,and I can't remember who he was. Anyone???? (Hope he didn't give it up,,,LOL)

Doesn't anyone remember this guy,,,his post were very interesting, like,,,a day in the life of someone learning PSG,,,,

Are you thinking of Tim Vandeville? He was giving ongoing reports on learning to play PSG, beginning in 2012 - see here:

I remember Tim the trucker from wis. Interestingly enough I heard a friend of mines homemade album he made and Tim was the steel player, It was Good , he's still at it , hope to meet up with him someday.
