Easter Sunday: a fitting time to finish up Gustav Mahler’s “Resurrection†Symphony tab, i.e. the fourth movement “Urlicht†or “Primeval Light.â€
Unfortunately, here’s where the musical notation starts to go off the rails. With all the musicians employed in this piece, Mr. Mahler did not use a rock-steady drummer to hold down the beat. So while the notes/melody is largely correct, you’ll have to rely on the recording to get the timing.
