Hello everybody, I've been lurking on this forum for over a year picking up a lot of great information and inspiration from you guys. I have played standard (armpit?) guitar for about 30 years and work as a guitar teacher here in Stockholm but am still a newbie on the steel and expect to remain so for the rest of my days... anyway I'm heavily into Hawaiian and Western Swing and lately I've been listening a lot to the superb tone and phrasing of Dick McIntire. I suspect his intro on Aloha Tears is played in the F#9 tuning he tended to use but C6 seems to get me there, or at least very close.

I use Guitar Pro 6. It quick and simple and works for 8 string as well so I usually prefer it to Sibelius although the latter probably looks a bit better.
