Mid 70's push pull. Wood neck-bolt-on. Total Restoration. Cab stripped and re-finished, buffed out, and re assembled.
Headstock and changer re-built. Still have to do the mechanical resto. The underside is in the white bin in the photo. Will be 3X4. Underside still gutted.

Wood: The guitar has the original Birdseye maple veneer, over a rock maple body. Set up will be std Emmons.

What a beauty - it's so great to see old instruments get a new life. You'll get lots of good karma from that I'm sure! Very Happy

John: Well, I might be interested. Of course I'd have to change it over to the Day set-up. I've done that at least 10 times, so that's not a problem. Although,I really should be selling some of the ones I have, instead of buying another one. My wife thinks I'm crazy for owning so many. I don't own a bolt-on. I had a D-10 bolt-on years ago, and it had the metal necks. Also, the nine that I currently have, are all mica covered. So this would make a nice addition to my collection. Thanks,Tommy......

Don't see too many wood neck Emmonses; Skip's old one was the only one I've ever seen.
Do they have tone like an aluminum neck, which you KNOW I'm a big fan of?

Beautiful instrument John. I'm curious about the veneer though. Does it cover the entire body or just the aprons and how do you go about re-finishing that? If it's nicked or chipped, seems like that could be a problem.

I learned from another Emmons thread that nearly all lacquer finished Emmons were veneer over solid wood. Did not know that.
