Wow, think it's original? The inlay is post 72. I had a 72 wood neck that turned up here as a Bolt ON aluminum neck.

No telling a Bobby, this is the second one I've seen wood neck wit a cut tail changer. I found this pic on google but saw one live in Dallas few years back. It was mica, wood neck and had a cut tail changer and owner said it was original so really don't know.
I love Emmons history, every time I think I know a little about them, another animal pops up, lol.

Can you read the pot codes on the tone control?
And is that a screw on Emmons insignia?
Cool

Pot codes won't help other than identify a replaced pot. I would not be surprised if the pot is a 1964 100k, which I even found in guitar as late as 1280D. They must have had a gross of 1964 100K pots.

Re: pickups - I have two guitars with solid black pickups - a D10 bolt on #1066D (which I believe to be a late '67) and a S10 wraparound (1965). I have an invoice number D10 bolt on (2767 - which I believe is an early '67) that has the thick white stripe pickups. Just FYI for Emmons investigators...

I am not convinced about the case being changed on this guitar why would anyone put such a beautiful instrument in such a crappy old case? Had it been put in a newer case, that I could understand .... and does the serial number fit into the 70's? If it was a one off "loafer" maybe that would account for the DST Stamp? We need a time machine to go back and get some answers.....Smile
