Many thanks to Erv Niehaus for his wonderful work of spreading the gospel through others with his tabs that we use. May his reward be great.

Yes I agree that ERV has done a wonderful job in providing, in my opinion, the best set of pedal steel tutorials for the novice and it works miracles. I have several tutorials and found ERV'S by far the best in understanding this instrument and in being in full control of its great beauty. THANK YOU ERV FOR SHARING YOUR GREAT GIFT. JAMES TAYLOR

ERV, If time permits there are a great deal of Scottish folk melodies that sound great on steel. Take Robert Burns for instance and the many melodies to his songs so very suitable to steel guitar and there are ancient melodies for fiddle and pipes which could sound first class on this instrument. There is a wealth of music here in Scotland ready to be adapted to steel. I wish you continued success in your great work and every best wish JAMES TAYLOR

James,
I think that I might have done a couple of Scottish tunes. Send me a list of what you have in mind and I'll see what I can do, I'm always looking for new material. Very Happy

You may have the largest steel tab library in the history of the world. I am not suggesting you are short on time, but I hope you will let your heirs know where it is so that folks still have access to it. About humility, I like what Tim Tebow says.

"Don't think less of yourself. Think of yourself less." Tim Tebow

I have a number of tabs from Erv. Been "attempting" to learn this monster for 1 1/2 years and very much enjoy using his tabs and makes learning fun; just finished a 2 hour session with them. Keep up the good work Erv and I am sure I will be in touch!

Well I can't stand it not chiming in! I must definitely say I too am extremely thankful for Erv's work. I have just over 500 of his tabs. They have helped me immensely to learn, to continue learning and growing, and the confidence to play for others. I usually will put a big stack of songs in front of me and play them all for practice each day.
Thank you Erv.

I don't get too fancy with my tabs, I pretty much stick to the melody and you can add anything extra you want, it's up to you.
