One of the very first Pro~II "Custom" that was built for Big Jim Murphy was the last of 1975 and into 1976; so pretty much the Customs were coming out in 1976 and on from there. They had some mechanical changes through the years; so knowing exactly what year yours is would highly depend on seeing the underneath as serial numbers meant nothing to the age. Dick Miller took Murph's Pro~II custom later and refinished it to look like this>

And me playing that Murph Pro~II Custom(gosh those were great Sho~bud's man

So yours could be anywhere from 1976-77ish to early 80's.
Does yours have grooves(treads) on top of the pedals or are the pedals slick?? Is yours double raise/double lower or triple/double??

Hey Ricky I caught a glimpse of Big Jim Murphy playing that ShoBud last year, but what is that Professional body in the picture behind it? That wood looks absolutely stunning. A new project of yours?

Regards, Joe

Joe that is Big Jim Murphy's Pro II that was built for Doug Jernigan that Murph obtained one year later after it was built. The story and pictures of it after I re-firbished it are in the House of wood at www.mightyfinemusic.com right NOW.

i have a shobud d-10 pro 2 custom. it has wide pedals. it says inspected by d marrs. model 61. i got it from thr original owner. its green, plays fine the legs, keyhead, body, pedals, and pedal rack look like new but the end plates and the ones around the changer and pickup are tarnished. how about a ballpark on what it is worth.
