I host Facebook groups dedicated the to the "golden age" of the Hayride, and to the Lake Cliff, which was a nightspot a couple of miles away near Cross Lake, where many of the stars also played, sometimes later the same night. During its tenure it hosted Hank (Jr. & Sr.), Elvis, Johnny Horton, Red Sovine, Slim Whitman, Willie Nelson, Floyd Cramer, Jimmy Day, and even bluesman Mighty Joe Young. Several Hayride backing members such as Hoot Rains, Curley Herndon, Sonny Trammel, and Dobber Johnson were regulars there.
