Seems on my sho-bud professional I have an issue tuning string 4. If I tune the key, then the lower lever and the raise lever, then the pedal 3, when I go back to the raise lever and apply it,then it goes too sharp. Can I correct this with the stop? What am I doing wrong? I never had this problem before.

I had a similar problem on my 6139 where if I raised my Es, I'd have to give it a little nudge with the E lower to get it back in tune.

I fixed it by putting some lubrication in the changer.

It's an easy fix and can't do any harm and might be worth a try in case it's sticking on something.

I'd check that the rack of the lever returns far enough that the little bit of wire on the barrel doesn't still contact the rack.

I've noticed that, over the years, many racks have lost their little springs to retract the racks. I bet there was a reason for those springs...
