You can ususally get by substituting a D chord for a Bm7th. The F#m can be found on the 5th fret with the A pedal or at the 10th fret with the knee lever that lowers the E to Eb.

You need the 7th string to get the 7th of the chord
at that position.

Right. Just like you need the 1st or 7th strings to find Bm7 at fret 5 with AB pedals.

Jeff, that Chord Finder is dynamite. It would be great if b0b makes it a "sticky" somewhere, perhaps under PEDAL STEEL. Useful for C6th and standard 6 string guitar too.
Thanks a lot, stevet

But if people don't support it, it won't be around.

Brian,
To play the chords you mentioned, while staying on the 5th fret:
Any string combination (grip) that you currently use for an "A" chord - by engaging the 1st pedal (the one that raises your 5th & 10 strings a whole tone), you will now have an F#m.

For the Bm7 - engage both the 1st & 2nd pedals at the same time, and play strings 7, 6, 5, & 4 together.
This will give you the notes needed for Bm7: B D F# A

Good luck, and have fun!
