Glad you are enjoying the steel Isaac. Nice to see some photos with you and the Clinesmith and the Aiello.

I look forward to hearing you play the D-8 some day.

My current guitar dreams of being a Clinesmith when it grows up.

If you want to post more pictures of the dancers, it's all right with me.

There's something puzzling about Hawaiian women. It's like there's two sizes only - Hula-sized, and... mmm... not-hula-sized? Is there some sort of intermediate "cocoon" stage, or they just come straight from the factory that way? Cool

Hawaiian women come in all sizes. Hula dancers also come in all sizes. Just like misogynistic, racist dudes.

'Well done. Your writing contains the same wit, sharpness, beauty, and economy found in your wonderful playing.

This has nothing to do with the Clinesmith. But its nice to see a band all dressed alike, and not in raggedy clothes.

No Clinesmith, or any steel, to be seen at the gig last night. Nice electric stand up bass played in it's place tho.
Casey Olsen had his Canopus going strong at The Halekulani fortunately, probably the lone steel in all Waikiki on a Friday night.

I tried to catch your gig Issac, but I guess you didn't do it that day.
Talked to Jeff a bit at his gig at the Outrigger. He was great as usual Smile
At the airport on the way home, I saw Greg playing farewell to folks leaving Hawaii in the evening( snif..)..Had a few words with him between tunes..
My youngest son received his doctorate on the 20th, which is why we were there in the winter. I like May better....

Jack S., Jeff Au, Tony L., Ron W., & Dave M., be sure you stay on the "Clinesmith in Waikiki" topic here or your posts will be deleted and the topic closed. Jeeez Wink Question

The topic concerns Isaac's gig on which he used a Clinesmith steel guitar. The original post includes photos from that gig. In one of my two posts, I said I liked the matching outfits in those photos. In my other post, I commented that I liked Jeff's remarks concerning someone else's comments about the dancers in those photos. If I didn't "stay on the 'Clinesmith in Waikiki' topic," I don't know what I did.

Sincerely
Tony L.

I, too, would like to hear Isaac on the Clinesmith
or anything else as well. The Aiello, the Fender, the Rick Frypan, etc etc. Anything at all. Cool
