Wow! There it is right in the middle. Not like my friends Carter where it's in the top neck and you have to ruin a fret board to get to the darn thing and replace it. Then wait at least two weeks for the parts to fix it.

Craig Davidson:

The observed failure rate of neck selector switches to date on Carter standard pro models is LESS than 1/2 of one percent. Your friend purchased a used Carter. The parts kit and 2 pages of Instructions were sent to your friend in a timely manner (and the replacement for the new switch he claimed was faulty went out quickly also, at no extra charge, of course).

You seem to have an axe to grind with us, going back a few years now.
I'm not sure why as we've never done business with you directly.
But that is your problem, not ours.

Even though you keep trying to make it our problem.
It remains your problem.

I would be more than happy to discuss with you whatever your problem is. The phone number is 972-288-9100.

We do welcome constructive criticism, as well as consumer input, and you are welcome to discuss your ideas with us at any time by fax, phone, US mail or Email in a civil, non-sarcastic and sincere manner.

We read the forum regularly looking for new ideas, outlook, and consumer input and for ways to positively impact those around us and the steel guitar community.

We will not continue to discuss your perceived grievance on the Forum, although you may feel you want to, which is your right.

I fail to see the necessity of dragging a thread off-topic.

But, as I said before, that is your problem.

P.S. If you or your friend do not like our design, I recommend that you buy a steel guitar that you do like.
