I was fortunate to play Tommy White's Millennium on a four hour swing gig last night. I have played this guitar in the studio, at the Station Inn with Time Jumpers in a low volume setting, at the Opry with Connie Smith and now in a large Texas style club here in Nasville. This instrument amazes me how it performs in any situation. I have had many guitars in my 30 plus years as a professional steel player and there were always those guitars that were good live but did not record as well as others, then those there were good at low volume and crapped out when you had to push them. Those that sounded great but had other issues. Not this baby, this is the most versitile guitar I have ever played. No negative reflection on any other builders intended or felt. I can't wait till mine gets here. There were a couple other players in attendance last night that were impressed as well and I'll let them give their comments if they so choose.

Rick, it has the George L T.W. pickups.
Frank, I won't get it to brand comparisons on this one. I already stated the differences in the Millennium and other guitars I've owned.

Johnny, I'll get to experience this great guitar also as soon as my Excel Superb sells. Everytime i see a post about the New MSA i get excited like a kid in a Candy store. For a wood body guitar i think i like this excel better than any i'v played.I had a brand new U-12 ZUM it played nice and easy action. I think it would be my 2nd or 3rd choice. But this Excel wants to sustain for 15 minutes it seems. My wife told me this Excel was the best sounding guitar that she ever listened to here and i'v had a bunch here. As you know i'm going to be able to check one out real close to me before long. I live in Columbus ohio. Hopefully this Robert Randolph along with everyone else will help sell a whole bunch of steels before long. I talked to a guy in Northern Ohio the other day that has the new Millineum and the first thing he said was it is well worth the money.
