I was there. Living across the state in KC, I was to every ISGC from 1978 to 1997. I retired in 96 and moved to Florida and don't get to every one now.
I liked the sound in the Chase Park Plaza Hotel better than the Clarion (as it was named when it moved downtown). _________________ GFI Ultra Keyless S-10 with pad (Black of course) TB202 amp, Hilton VP, Steelers Choice sidekick seat

Great pictures - thanks for posting. 1981 was my first ISGC visit.
Is that Jimmy Day in the cowboy hat (5th picture down)? |

Great pic of Bobby Caldwell 'barring' Speedy West's steel.
Fantastic interaction between Players and fun for convention attendees. |

Great memories for sure Sandy!!!! That pic of you reminds me of the time you and your Daddy hauled all those amps to that "theater in the round" club. That was a Dave and Sugar date and amps were supposed to be there...oops. Oh well, at least you were able to stay and watch the show....thanks again after all these years. FR |
