He was one of my favorite Opry stars back around 1960. Thanks for reminding me. I don't know if he is still around.

The only song of his I remember is "I'll Just Have a Cup of Coffee Then I'll Go"... I think that was back in the sixties sometime... What other tunes did he have out?.........JH in Va.

One of his best known was Family Bible. Of course Ill have another cup of coffee was a big one. Through the 1970s he actually put out quite a few singles but none were really hits. My Ears should burn was a minor hit and I never had the One I Wanted was a late 60s hit of his. He had several good songs in the 60s just not a whole lot of hits.

I'll Just Have a Cup of Coffee made it to the top 5 on the Country charts. My Ears Should Burn was #3 on the Country charts, not just a minor hit.

These two songs were the highest he charted during his career.

He had a website that is no longer online and in 2008, there was available a 2 disc set that covered pretty much everything he recorded. I have included pics of the back covers of both cd's, which list the songs and a generic list of players but not the specific songs they played on.

I couldn't find these 2 cd's any longer for sale on the web when I did a search.
