John Daugherty's new gospel CD

Post by Michael Breid »

JD has gone and done it now. John Daugherty has a new gospel CD available that is really worth the money. His version of America the Beautiful is worth buying the CD alone. Performing an American patriotic song with an original "American" beat gives this song a unique sound that has received positive raves from steel players everywhere. Check out John's website for more information about purchasing this terrific CD, and listen to Miss Lana's Steel Radio show as she plays cuts from this truly inspirational project. This is one CD that is a "MUST" for your pedal steel guitar collection. www.home.earthlink.net/~johnd37/ Michael Breid-Ozark Mountains, Arkansas

Hey folk's, I can attest to the great quality of John's CD I've had a few sneak peeks at it along the way actually I didn't know it was done yet but I can't wait to get my copy.

John you ol' dog I have just loved the songs I've had the chance to listen to along the way I'll find out how to buy one and do it asap.

Thanks Michael, for entering the link for Johns' new album...Went over and took a listen...The tone and Johns' approach is just awesome...Since gospel music is by far my favorite venue, I am getting this one and will play it on my way to SCOTTYS' in St. Louie....

Michael, thanks for the kind words. Thank you, Jennings,Bob,Dan and Les for your comments.
I spent 2 months replaying, remixing and generally trying to make this CD sound as good as I could. Sometimes I thought I had nailed it, but after listening again the next day, I'd tell myself "I can do better". Then I would record it again. I hope that someone will be touched when they listen to this labor of love.
I now have a "play along" CD available to compliment the gospel CD. It is the same as the gospel CD, but without the "lead" instruments.
The Gospel CD title is "Softly And Tenderly". Both CDs can now be purchased as a package on my website. The information is listed on the "John's CDs" page. There are a few sound clip samples to listen to.
