Someone has posted the entire Buckaroo's Boot Hill album, with great work by Buddy Emmons, on YouTube.

Dubba dubba dubba cha and putatively illegal use of fuzz tone on the second tune reveal that my favorite player has feet of clay, fully redeemed by the waltz that follows and a couple of solos e.g. 12:00 and 21:40 and marvelous countrified lyric change "a trucker's dream if I ever did see one" and countrified rhythm that has me clapping on one and three.

That must be one of the shortest album in history!
I had an album by Dewey Martin and the Medicine Ball, from the same era, and it featured Mr. Emmons on fuzz steel too. Thanks Peter!

Looks like there are several 'Buckaroos' albums available on Youtube.

I'm curious, who's playing steel on 'Sweet-T-Pie' on 'Roll Your Own'?

As far as I know, the two main steelers for the Buckaroos were Tom Brumley, and Jay Dee Manness, so I would assume it's one of them?

Emmons on 'Boot Hill' sure surprised me.

'Sweet-T-Pie' on 'Roll Your Own' is JayDee. That's him on the cover, lower right, no hat (not with hair as good as his).

Hung out with JayDee and Skip Edwards yesterday. Drank coffee and ate cookies while JayDee played (We lead very exciting lives here in Hollywood). JayDee told us about playing a Frank Sinatra show with Loretta Lynn, and how p.o.'d Sinatra was, arriving from singing the anthem at a Dodger game and not being able to hear himself. Found it on YouTube (at 18:55).
