Steel Guitar East purchased Walked Seats from Ray Walker before he passed away. We are presently building the seats just as Ray was building them. I use one and we think they are excellent seats and a little on the lighter side for us guys with a little age on us. We are presently taking orders so please let us know if we can help you.
Thanks
We build these seats with the same care and attention to detail that we do with the guitars we work on and completly rebuild.

Do you have a web site...email address? Price list, etc.
Are you a part of Rains steel guitar? The web site on "Steel On the Web" indicates an affiliation with Rains.
Thanks |

Tom,
my web site is Steel Guitar East, I do not have any association with Rains but they are fine guitars. The prices are on my site.
Thanks
BIlly
The seat without a back price is not on the site, it is $200 plus shipping. |

There is no finer man to deal with than Billy Knowles. Put Walker seats along with Billy Knowles and you just can't go wrong.
Good to see you Billy at the last jam session, but sure missed hearing you play that P/P of yours.

Received my Walker steel seat last week. It is perfect. Just what I needed for the 2012 Vince Gill tours. Just the right height and stance. So comfortable, especially when I sit on it for a 3 hour show!! Thank you so much Billy Knowles! |

I have 2 Walker seats and I love them both. I also loved my hour and a half phone conversations with Ray. We never did get to play golf together as planned, but we both love the sport. The last time I talked to Ray I was in Bass Pro Shop and he apologized for talking too long, but I told him he probably saved me a lot of money.
Rest in peace Ray and best of luck, Billy. Keep on keepin' on!

I spent the day with Billy today and got my new Walker seat. Billy is just as meticulous with these as he is with his steel guitar repairs. Oh. and he's a pretty good guy, too. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Harlow Dobro |

My Walker Sidecar Seat is among the most useful pieces of equipment purchased during my working days. It currently sits under my steel in my den, both retired along with me.
When I look at it I remember the "early" days of my career when a real downside of a job was trying to find an appropriate chair or coke case to sit on.
The Walker was literaly like upgrading from a Gremlin to a Cadilac. _________________ "FROM THEN TIL' NOW" |

Billy,
I see the old webpage (which is still what comes up on a Google search) is with Cal Sharpe also. I would suggest either paying for the domain name if you can, or seeing if you can get a link to connect to your site, and also do what you need to these days to get your site to come up in a search for "Walker Seats". I am sure most sales go through word of mouth, but it does help to be easily found on the web.
Good luck with the new part of your business,
