Randy,

I sure hate to hear this. He and his wife we're always kind to me. They were a great couple. I'll keep Betty in my prayers.

Gosh....I hate to hear this. He was a very good friend of mine. He used to come out to hear me play when I was working with Moe....even wanted me to teach lessons at his shop. He had a son named Jimmy, I believe. We all grew up on the soutside...went to McCollum, etc. Is the shop closed or what? Everybody used to hang out over there....great memories....

I just can't believe Jimmy is gone too! Betty Jean played a mean upright bass. I ran into a guy the other day & we were talking about all of them & he thought the place had closed % he was talking about trying to re-open it some how....seems to have been quite an icon on the south side. I just got back in the business after close to 40 years being out of it & now I find so many guys we grew up with are not playing anymore or they have passed on. What about the Metheny Brothers or does anybody know Chuck Robinson? I'm trying to find more bands to play with...gotta keep the old music going. Do you know of anybody trying to get something going? Believe it or not...people still love the old Ray Price, George Jones stuff & they love to dance & have fun!
