For those that are not aware, there is a BIAB group on Yahoo (actually 3 groups) that has thousands of BIAB song files that may be of interest to BIAB owners.

You will need to be a member of all three groups to be able to download files, the groups are:
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Band-in-a-Box/
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Band-in-a-Box-Files/
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Band-in-a-Box-Files2/

I have made a text file available with a current list of all files available so you can decide if you want to join the three requisite groups. You can view it here:
http://petenicholls.us/BIAB_FIle_List.txt

Enjoy!

Great Reference! Thanks Pete
I wish we could get a .Zip file of the songs in those groups and get it out to all the Steelers!
BIAB files are small and would be easy to send vis .zip.
Should would save many man hours.
Maybe someone has all the songs downloaded. Wouldn't that be a treat!

Unfortunately, it is many zip files, broken down into various categories. The file listing is inclusive of the many zip files.

Hello Pete. I was interested in your direction for the resource of BIAB files. I notice you didn't include BIABFSG (file sharing group). This is a group that was mentioned in the posting "Real Book".

I've applied to join this group for two months, and the only response I have received is "you have been declined because the moderator (Dr. Cheng) has not responded in (X number) of days.

Somebody on the posting posted possible alternate links to getting a positive reply including writing to Dr. Chang which I did, but have still not received an answer.

All this because I'm trying to get BIAB version for BRUSH THOSE TEARS FROM YOUR EYES, the URL is posted on the above mentioned post.

Can you or anybody assist me please???

Geo

George, I don't find that song listed in the index, sorry. You only need to join the three groups I listed in the first post to have the same access that I do.

Peter, maybe you haven't seen the other thread re BIAB resources which I tried to point out in my previous email.

Anders kindly shared these with us:

Here is the links to all Yahoo BIAB groups:

The main BIAB group
http://www.biabgroup.com/

Band-In-A-Box (BIAB) File Archive
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Band-in-a-Box-Files/

BIABFSG - Band-in-a-Box File Sharing Group
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/BIABFSG/
BIABFSG2 - Band-in-a-Box File Sharing Group II
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/biabfsg2/

and the song I'm looking for is in the BIABFSG group. It appears you do not belong to either of those two groups. I'm trying to join THOSE groups and that's my problem.

This is a totally different group than what I originally posted about. There hasn't been any activity to speak of in the group that you are trying to join since 2005 and based on your experience trying to get added, I would write it off.

Here are the number of posts in the group, most of which for the last few years have been the rules posted by the group administrator.

Good luck!

Well Peter, thanks to you that's the story. For sure it's a write-off.
