I only have my E9th pedals on my D10 Carter. C6th is a great tuning to play open. I've even read that most of the greats don't use pedals when soloing on C6th. I saw Fred Newell in Nashville with E9th on the front and open G Dobro 6 string on the back. Everyone has different needs and uses for a steel guitar.
