I would say that Buddy is playing an EMCI or MCI on those shots. |

It is definitely not an Emmons guitar. Sure looks like an MCI especially when you can see the fretboard shot. |

I´ll think the first clip can be a Desert Rose or a (E)MCI Steelguitar, the second clip is a MCI.

Those videos look kind of old. Were Desert Rose Guitars around that far back? I agree MCI/EMCI _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, NV400, NV112 . Playing for 54 years and still counting. |

I believe that is a brown wood grain EMCI. Same one he played at Dallas one year. They had the square nameplate with EMCI in it. Whatever it is, sure sounds good. _________________ Henry Matthews

Another vote for (E)MCI based on the fret board. Larry Sasser on lap steel I n the first clip! Compare Buddy's right hand technique to JD's. Both work for them, but pretty different. |
