Hi Jelle,
Old friend, Good of you to bring this clip. It is only the tip of the iceberg. Marcel Dadi recorded 4 or 5 albums in Nashville giving all the room to Emmons to work out his solos. Some of them lasted more than two minutes and are among the sweetest stuff Emmons ever recorded. If you can publish more, go ahead, my experience is that most American steel players are not aware of these treasures. |

Hello Bas yes Old friend you are to,,,I remember the 'first european steel"convention/meeting" Odiliapeel we started out,, when was it 1975,,,,? you were there ,Jan Visser, Koos ,Nils tuxen (? was he?) and ao; my friend Charley Rudolph for singing the Ray Price/McCall stuff.

Yes, this is the stuff I was talking about.
"To my mom and dad" is a nice example of the sweet solos I was talking about, but there is more, much more.
BTW it looks like a gathering of the Dutch Buddy Emmons Fanclub here, but I do not think B0b will object to that.
