Southern Illinois Steel Guitar Show

Post by Dave Flanagan »

Alrighty girls and boys; The play list and schedule is up for the Mt. Vernon Steel Show. As you can see we have had some cancellation and we have added some new player to our list. We're only a few weeks off and I don't think there will be any major changes after this point( I hope ) At the Holiday Inn there is plenty of FREE parking and with a room Key there is a FREE full breafast bar. Tickett's are availible on line in advance. Come and have a LARGE time at the Southern Illinois Steel Guitar Show. southernillinoisproductions.org

I'm looking forward to getting back up to this great show. There's always a lot of great music, and it's like a family reunion getting to see old friends again. Thanks for having me back this year!

I am having my booth again this year at the show

Post by Gary Sill »

Del Mullen is coming to play a Mullen on Friday afternoon.

Looking forward to having some steels to offer for sell from Mullen. This is your chance not to wait and get a new one at the show.

I will have a complete selection of the Hilton volume pedals and accessories.

I have George L cords for making at the show.

I will have my steel guitar replacement legs and the sockets for those wanting some new legs for their steel and for those doing a lap steel project.

Will have some used equipment also for sale. Some really good stuff.

This show has the big names at the show in a nice environment, good accommodations, plenty of eating choices near the hotel.

Come see the show and we will bring our store for your choices.

Sincerely,

Gary Sill

What a Treat

Post by Dan Burnham »

Guys & Girls,
You are in for a treat when it comes to Mike Miller. Make sure you hold on to your socks or you may lose them.
The best way I can describe Mike Miller, is a Monster on the Steel.
Be sure to grab a front row seat or it may grab you. Mike looking forward to you coming up this year. It is going to AWESOME!

Dan Rollins

Post by Dan Burnham »

Also,
Some of you had the opportunity to hear Zane Beck, well you get a chance to go back in time this year at this show. Dan Rollins from AR. who was a student of Zane Beck will have his own set. When Dan plays you will hear those famous licks that Zane did that set him apart from the others. Last year we had a guy come up after Dan finished playing on my set, with tears in his eyes, and he told me, " I haven't heard that sound since 1985 but when Dan Rollins played, it was like I was listening to Zane Beck play."
It's going to be a great show, plan to be there,
