Hi William, That's a song I always loved. Great to
hear it again. Sure sounds good with you playing it.
The Emmons sounds good & looks like it's easy to play.

William,
A real nice job, but a question, are you using the same equipment on your Emmons that you used on Jack's? There is a total difference between the two of them. When you recorded with Jack's steel, there was a Magic that sorta linked you right on top shelf for super tone.
I think the tune We Could, was the very best I've heard tonewise and your playing as well.
This is not meant to be criticism of any kind, just my personal thoughts on how I found it to be. Your playing has improved tons since the first time I heard you. Only wish mine was 1/2 as good and I'd be happy.
Now how about talking Jack into selling me his Emmons? Just to see how I'd sound with it...
Wishing you a great New Year.........
PS: If you know, what pickups were on Jack's?
Thanks,
Don |

My guitar has standard Emmons single coils. Thanks for the compliments. It is a very special instrument. After working with Williams guitar, I think it is just as special. His guitar has Emmons 108N humbucking pickups. Could be the difference you're picking up on, as well as the difference in the Lashley II vs Lashley III models. |
