I have done this quite slow, because I was going to put the melody of 'I Understand' to it, but it didn't work out very well.
Bear with the rather pedestrian strat playing (I like to keep things simple) until my Emmons push-pull takes over at half-time

Thanks for this Richard. I like your "less is more" attitude in playing. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

Richard I love the tone you get out of your PP Emmons. Some day I'm gonna get me one. Good job. _________________ 78 Emmons PP,Great tone.82 Emmons SKH #56 |

Richard, nice, the P/P sounds great, good to see you still putting tunes up, always interesting.

Nice work, Richard. Have you heard this version with a slightly different melody than we're used to? I actually prefer it to the traditional tune.

Thanks Guys
Arch, no, I hadn't heard that version before, it's a bit too far from the melody for me |

As to being far from the melody, while the singer Arch linked to makes a few changes, the version he sings is what it is my understanding was actually the melody Burns originally intended--which, for me, is more evocative than the familiar tune (which I am well fond of as well). Here's a more faithful rendition of it:
