Paul has never had better tone than he has at the moment.

I saw Paul play in Nashville not long after he got his current rig. I had a nice chat with him after the show and he was really enthusing about what it was delivering by way of tonal spectrum. I had heard him previously through a Peavey 112, and his tone was quite muddy on the bottom end. The Little Walter rig was crystal clear on all strings with amazing string separation. He was using one of his older guitars with Lawrence 705's on it (my all time favourite pickup). He just sounded as perfect as it could get tone-wise that night.

Of course it does help when you can play as brilliantly as he does. Smile

Paul did say he has all the vintage pedals in one box, I seen it, im sure Paul can explain more on this. Since I have been in Nashville and seen Paul several times I must say this is the best tone he has ever had. 99% is him and his Jedi like picking hand !!!

My new 50 watt LWTA head arrived Thursday - don't know what else to say other than OMG. It's a quiet amp (no hum) and the sound is FAT. I was a bit reluctant to order one as it has a single tone control - as soon as I started playing on it, I knew that Phil got it right. The amp is so good, I really don't know how to describe it other than you have to try one out (come by if you're in KC).

Great video...great sound.

Anybody know why the 2 amps are placed so close and at a right angle?

One speaker cab is behind Paul facing him, and the other one is at right angles facing the band (kind of like a monitor I would guess)

Paul uses a Little Walter 50 + 50 amp head plus 2 separate 12" speaker cabinets.

That night he also had a Nashville 112 hooked up as a cab, or something like that
