2016 and 2017 MSA U-12s
Fine pedal steel guitars with Emmons style tone controls and L Frets. Very happy with these two. ^_^

One thing i noticed, you hardly ever see the Legends or Studio Pros for sale. They hold on to them. That says a lot. |

It's taken me a while to get photos that I think does it justice but here is my MSA Legend U12 I bought last year and picked up at the Dallas show. The pickup on it in the pictures is a retro Tonealigner wound on order by Bob Hoffnar who I know frequents this forum.
Bob it is a really sweet sound from the Tonealigner, I also have a Truetone but the Tonealigner is my favourite.
It's a great guitar, plenty of natural sustain and plays sweet as a nut. Many thanks to the guys at MSA for their kind hospitality when I was across.
Special thanks to Mitchell Smithey who gave me a tour of the MSA factory. Mitchell I re-rodded the Franklin pedal to give me a tone raise on string 1, half tone raise on string 2 and a tone lower on string 7. Much prefer these changes.

Here's one of my MSA Millies - taken a couple of years ago when I first got it. In the background is St John, Virgin Islands. Both the island and my instruments (and me!) went through a Cat 5 hurricane about 2 months ago. We all are slowly coming back. The island is turning green again, I am slowly cleaning up my gear (only issue so far was a removable pick up that got stuck in my other Millie, which got the dampest of my guitars. If it had been a wood body, I suspect it would be in far worse shape!). And I am finding enough work to keep food on my table.

Indeed, Archie! But that is not just a Burgundy Millie.... That is THE Burgandy Millie. Of course, that and $4 will get you a Starbucks coffee, but nice to know one of my heroes played some serious licks on this guitar before I began abusing it! _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |

Larry, the older MSAs from the 70s and early 80s sell for around $1,500-1,800. These aren't as elegant as the new ones, but they are rock solid, and perfectly functional.
I played my 2 classics for 25 years before I upgraded to the Millies. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, as well as some older MSAs, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Recently added a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored blue Rose, named the "Blue Bird" to the herd. Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic again that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also added a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks. |
