Robert,
Thanks!
I bought this bass new in 1955 to fill in with when I was playing with a polka band in Minnesota.
It has seen very limited service and I even have the original strings it came with. I saved them when I put a set of flat wounds on it. Very Happy

Don't remember the exact year, but I was out at the Fender Factory (behind the R.R. Staton) for some work on my Amp, when Leo showed me the prototype of the new Fender Electric Bass. He asked me what I thought of it, and not being a Bass player, I asked
"How do you Bow it ?". Stand up Bass players at that time would use a Bow if playing a Waltz. Leo considered the source and did not respond to my stupid question.
