From the 1994 International Steel Guitar Convention.

Doug was probably the first steeler to be able to play those lightning fast fiddle licks. He is a true favorite everywhere he plays.
I am proud to call him my friend.

Doug Jernigan - Steel Guitar
Bobby Caldwell - Guitar
Roy Rosetta - Piano
Dean Baxter and David Russell - Fiddle
David Smith - Bass
Jimmy Queen - Drums

Put on your headphones or turn up your stereo speakers and pretend you were sitting in the sound booth with me hearing and seeing this LIVE.

Nice work, Bill - many thanks for doing these!

Great set, packed house - Doug can play it ALL. One of the top three in the world IMHO.

Can’t make out what guitar he’s playing - was he playing Zum back then?

BTW Doug anchors an all-star band on RFD-TV’s weekly half- hour music variety program “The Merlin Gene Show.” It’s mostly classic country and Doug gets lots of camera time. Check your local listings.

That looks like Dean Baxter and David Russell on fiddles?
