Was just turned onto this band, don't know much about them, but can anyone fill in the blanks?

Thanks, and Happy Memorial Day!

I believe the steel player for Leaving Texas is my friend and neighbor, Andrew Buhler. If we are talking about the same band...Andrew does some of the lead guitar work also. He is a member here.

Thanks, Craig, for taking an interst in Leaving, TX and thanks, Slim, for filling in some of the background. While Leaving, TX used to gig regularly in the MD/DC/VA area, we changed gears a bit after our lead singer/songwriter, Chris Patterson, relocated his family to Iowa; plus kids entered my life as well. We now get together several times a year to do gigs in the area when we can. We hope to do some local shows over the summer. Drop me an email if you have additional questions. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for upcoming gigs: http://www.facebook.com/leavingtx
