I'm considering buying an all-original Professional. I'm wondering if it's any big deal to add a knee lever and/or change the functions of the existing knee levers. Also I've read that the fingers on the rack and barrel system can become worn-out. Does anyone have any pictures of what worn-out and decent fingers look like?

Rick,

I changed the co-ped completely, and added two new levers to my Professional. If you've got the tools and the know-how, it's not too big of a job. The parts are available from our Fo-Bro James Morehead. He and his little bride, put out some of the very highest quality parts available, and the price is right.

Here's how mine turned out.

Hope this helps.
Cheers!
Benton

Whoa! Wow, that's a beautiful guitar, Benton. Thanks for the lead. I'm in contact with James right now and I think it will work out beautifully.
