Hi guys, does anyone have a backing track for "Soft Rain"
that they could share with me. Any format and key is fine.
Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smile

Thanks Greg,
You sure have a nice style of playing it, but way above me.
I can only play slow, and try to make it sound pretty. Laughing Laughing
I'll try to slow the track down, and see if I can play it.
Because of bad vision, I can't use tabs, I have to learn
the melody, and then try to figure out how I can play it.
Thanks again.

Greg, I just listened to your audio of Soft Rain. WOW! Loved it. I really liked the sound you got on the second steel lead. Can you tell me the setup for that (effects etc)

Bobby Flores has a version of this song out on one of his CDs and love that take as well.

Great song, and very well done. Thanks for sharing

Mack,

The effects are just a Boss RV-5 set on hall reverb and a cheapo Guyatone MD-3 delay, Goodrich pot pedal, Steel King amp, SHure SM-57 mic, Yamaha AW-1600 recorder.

Greg,
Thanks. I tend to play with just one setting, so it is interesting to me to hear two steel sounds in one song. I'll have to go home tonight and mess with the effects processor and see whatelse I can come up with. Still love your version of Soft Rain, as well as the rest of your site. Every time I look at the tabs and then listen to the audio I learn something new. Your BC pedal stuff is great as well.
