I was unaware of this Neil Young song
until it was brought to my attention
by one of my fellow formites.

After checking his " Harvest " recording
(not Harvest Moon } I was able to dub in
a steel break and it was great to have
his band in the back up.

I have added this to my Neil Young tab
offerings.

That's a great album. Ben Keith played some really pretty steel on several songs. He may have also produced it -- it was either he or Elliot Mazer. Big Ben produced several later albums.

For a while I was playing occasional steel guitar gigs with "Classic Albums Live", an outfit from Toronto that faithfully reproduced (not imitation, just reproduction) some of the most famous rock albums (Beatles, Stones, Led Zep, etc.). We did "Harvest" and also included in the encore some other NY tunes with steel. That same group also used me on the Rolling Stones' "Some Girls" album where I got to recreate some of that classic steel guitar of Ronnie Woods. Rolling Eyes

It is fun music to play, isn't it?

I just recorded a reggae remake of Heart of gold.I have not heard the final mix yet but it sounded ok in the studio. It would not have been my first choice for a reggae tune but the guys i,m working with are the real deal and I think it will turn out pretty good.
