It seems like BIAB has 16 midi tracks available but only one audio track. If I want to use some midi parts and 2 or 3 audio parts, I can't do that. I have to send the midi file out to Cakewalk, add wav files and send the whole mess back to biab as a wave file, if I want to play it in BIAB.
So, any way to get more audio tracks in BIAB?

Upgrade to a
more current
version that
includes RealBand.
That would be version
2oo8, I believe, or later.

I have had 2008.5 since it came out. Tho some of the real files are wav., there is still only one audio track input available.

Ken,
I was referring to 'RealBand' rather
than Real Drums or Real Tracks.
'RealBand' is BIAB's accompanying software
that 'bridges the gap' between BandinaBox
and a digital recorder, or perhaps I should
say it is both in one program.
You can create your BIAB tracks within
'RealBand' and then record yourself on
any or all of the other tracks.
The beauty of it is that you do all this
within one program rather than having
to deal with the sometimes 'iffy-ess' of
'exporting' what you've done in BIAB into
some other program for multitracking.
'RealBand' has 48 tracks.
Even if you use all seven of the possible BIAB
intrumentation (Bass, Piano, Drums, Guitar,
Strings, Melody and Soloist) you would still
have 41 of those 48 open tracks for yourself.
Each track can be Mono Audio, Stereo Audio
or Midi, your choice.

Hi Ken.....
Russ is on the money. Real Band is like mixing BIAB and PowerTracks together. PowerTracks is the PG version of a DAW sorta like cakewalk.
Create the basic song in BIAB if you are more comfortable with that program. Save as MGU, then open the file in RealBand and everything will go to seperate tracks. You can then add as many audio tracks as your computer will handle. Plus Much Much more.
