Might be nice to share them here too. I'll add the others to the previous post. This is the best one I have of the T-10. Umm, the Q-8 belonged to Jimmy Day and Curley Chalker, it's the guitar used on Crazy Arms.

I owned this one back in the mid-70's, and it was pretty old then...
Ten pedals and one knee lever. Cable mechanism. The pedal stops were rubber bumpers on the bottom of the pedals. I think It was about seven feet long, and weighed at least 400 pounds. Well, maybe not, but that's what it seemed like at the time. It was a nice sounding guitar. I wish I had some better pictures of it.

What a thread! YEAH, BABY!!

Austinite Bobby Horton has a Wright Custom that belonged to Chubby Howard, not the one pictured above, that I did a little work on a few years ago. Maybe I can get Bobby to take some photogs.

Drooooolll ( and I don't mean Barbara Mandrell ) Razz

I used to own one like Chubby Howard has in that pic, it had severely been butchered from a six pedal quad to a three pedal triple neck, complete with a red house paint with a brush Shocked I had it restored to a blonde T8 with two pedals working like the Isaacs E9 ( except with split pedals ) it sounded just like Jimmy Day's Wright on Crazy Arms.

Mr. Wright:
My name is Frank Talley and I used to live in Washington State. I bought a double neck Sierra from your dad through Keith Holter in 1978 and a webb amp from him at the same time. The amp, however, was stolen after I moved to Phoenix in 1980; However, the guitar I still have, still play on stage, to this day. By the way, the serial number is xxx-00006. If you are interested in pictures, I can take some and send them to you or, check out the band photos on the webb site www.exit195.com.
Hell of a good guitar, just wish I could get parts to fix it up and do some pedal changes that I want. By the way, where do I get spare parts for it?
Frank

David, thanks for the ID,
The Jim King pics are cool, the earlier pic you posted of your dad playing his first triple neck is priceless.
My buddy Llyod turned up a S8, which had a plate on the front that said, CUSTOM BUILT BY CHUCK WRIGHT NAPPA VALLEY 1949.

David, I will try.
Also I just realised something, looking at the pic of the 48 T8, your dad may have had the first three piece neck.
He had Sho Bud beat by at least 8 years, and I have only heard of one Bigsby that was(maybe) modded by Bigsby himself.

This posting is becoming priceless for Sierra fans. The history is fascinating. I think most people are unaware of this guitars rich heritage...Sho-Bud, Beck, Bigsby seem to get the spotlight.
I have three Sierra: two Sessions and a Crown Series.
Keep the info coming!
