John, most people seem to like them lower than most pickups. I'd suggest starting as low as you can set it, then start bringing it up until it gets too hot for your preferences. Be aware that this pickup is a transformer design - so you probably don't need or get any benefit from buffers. If you are use to playing without a buffer, you will quite possibly need to re-EQ your amp.

Had them on a Carter,.. Nice sound I suppose, but insanely loud and hot,, Too much.. I found it pretty hard to tame.. Not my cup of tea _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

I have just recently bought a Alumitone Tone bar 10 - 4" Will it fit into a Mullen Royal Precision? If so, will I encounter any problems during installation? |
