This guitar was offered for sale during the spring of 2006 by Bruce Blackburn. I contacted Bruce too late about it. If the current owner has any interest in selling the guitar, please contact me. Or, if anyone knows who I might contact about the guitar, please let me know that as well. Many thanks.

Here is the link to Bruce's original post offering the guitar for sale with photo:

Chuck,
I don't know if this would be anything for you...
Are you looking for THAT particular Fulawka or would you settle for a slightly used S-10?

If so, I know that Ed Fulawka had one for sale on consignment at least a couple of months ago. If you wish, I can contact Ed and ask if it is still available.
email me.

Hello Chuck,
I remember that Fulawka, at least I think that I do. It was the blue U-12 wasn't it? That was one fantastic looking steel. If it was the blue one, and I can't seem to find the original post, I was also in contact with Bruce about it. In the meantime I was fortunate enough to find and buy a Fulawka S-12. I guess that the end result of my rambling is that if you are as fortunate as I was and have the opportunity to by that particular Fulawka, or any other Fulawka for that matter, do so. Ed Fulawka makes an incredible steel and is very responsive in his customer service.
Best of luck in your quest. If you do manage to get a Fulawka pedal steel you won't be sorry, not even for a minute.

Hi Duncan,

Yes, I'm sure that we're talking about the same U-12. I've been looking for it for over two months to no avail. It is the same blue lacquer that Ricky Davis had on his Fulawka Blue Darlin D-10. I'm certainly glad that you were able to find the S-12. I'll keep looking and hope for the best. We're in total agreement about the level of craftsmanship that Ed delivers. Thanks for your encouragement.

I have a D-10 Fulawka that I bought used from Al Brisco in Canada. It really is a great instrument. I liken it to a Sho~Bud on steroids.
My Fulawka isn't blue in color but I believe this Rains of mine is close to the color you are looking for:

Erv, that's a beautiful Rains you have there. Everyone that owns a Fulawka seems to feel the same way that you do. I suppose that's why they don't come up for sale very often. Thanks for sharing.

Actually, here it the post that Chuck is talking about. I agree Erv, the blue Fulawka looks just like your Rains. In fact looking at your Rains makes me want to buy a blue one just like yours. The dove is a beautiful touch. Anyway, here is the post...

It has been almost two years since I posted this request. I thought I would raise it again in hopes that the right person or persons would read it. I am still very interested if anyone knows the whereabouts of this guitar. Please email or PM me.

Thanks,
Chuck

Chuck, the guitars that Ed makes are very consistent. If you contacted Ed maybe he would make you one exactly like the used one that you are looking for.
This could be the only way you would be able to get a Fulawka like that. Owners tend to hang on to them.

Thanks, Bent. I ordered a D-10 from Ed almost two years ago and he is working on it now. Can't wait to get it. I would love to have this SD-12U also if I could ever find it.

Good lick on the hunt, I'm rooting for you. Also, congratulations on your upcoming new Fulawka. Say Hi to Eddie for me when you get it.
