Just got in from seeing ricky davis playing
with a group from austin . Its the first time I have seen him play .He is still playing that old sho bud through a twin. They had him micked up with a 57. The pa was peavy and sounded excellent . The band brought their own sound man,he knew just what the band was use to . I think ricky is enjoying jobing out with different bands. Its good to see a steel player in any band.
Your playing good ricky. |

Well thanks Jackie, I bet you didn't think I would respond this soon did ya ?
That was my first gig with Charlie Robison and I guess It was fun. It is the complete opposite of what I'm used to with Dale Watson; but those guys I've known for a long time and it was good to get together with them for some gigs. Charlie wants me to join; but I'm not sure yet. I still want to job around some more and go ahead and get the varitety thing goin'. I'm playin' again with Charlie in Gainesville Fri night; than headin' back south and pickin' with the Derailers at Gruene hall Sat. night.
Thanks for showin' up out there and ya never know where you might see me next
Ricky
