Those who want to see the loveliest steel player in Austin and the ugliest steel player in Austin on the same show have a chance tonight. The Cornell Hurd Band with yours truly will be opening the show for Asleep at the Wheel with Cindy Cashdollar at the Broken Spoke ("Last of the Texas Dance Halls and damn sure proud of it" is the challengeable claim) in lovely South Austin TX.

I will let attendees of the show make the determination of whom is the aforementioned Beauty and Beast.

Well I got to; On a rare occasion; go see the "Beauty and the Beast" tonight. Herb you played great as usuall and boy that "Fessy" sure sounds great pal. Cindy played wonderful and looked her usuall wonderful. I don't ever get a chance hardly to go out and listen(usually don't even want to); but what a nice treat it was.
I'll give the "Beauty and the Beast" TWO THUMBS UP.

Comeon now Herb - you gotta give us out of towners a little more lead time on this. One or two weeks advance notice is all I ask. That would have been one show worth flying to Austin for.
