Although these are nice units and look very good, , just be aware that this model the CF ( compact flash) has no on board effects, reverb, delays etc..the CD version does have the multi effects processor.
A few months back I was looking to add another newer 8 track ( why ? who knows ) to my home studio and did some study on all of the models. I really like the CF and the USB for data backup but without any effects I found myself scratching my head ...again..

Lucky it's not a Porta-San!
One of my favorite parts in the Woodstock movie is when the red-neck Porta-San worker with a son in Viet Nam is filmed and interviewed while doing his unflattering job, and say's how much he likes the kids there.
That epitomized the great American spirit to me. |

They've marked 'em down to $228.65 now. And I think there's a rebate too.

You're right Gary it's 20.00 me being curious I checked it out. One more note like Tony mentioned some models have no effects but others do just be sure you know which one you're buying.
