I am looking to buy a D10. Open to most brands. An 8/4 will be all I'll be able to use for a long time. I will be happy to look at lesser models. I do need it to have a hard case. Want to spend about 1200 to 1800. Will use to learn on. Portablity is not much of an issue. Just want a good steel to learn on. Would possibly spend more but it would have to be a good deal.

Check out Duane's web site at http://www.duanesmusic.com/dek.html
He has a pretty healthy looking Dekley f/s in the price range you mentioned.

Mighty nice lookin' Dekley too. Makes me wanna find some $ I don't (yet) have to get to play it. Looks like 5 knees. Easy as mud to work on.
(edited 'cause I have two of 'em and still mis-spell the name...)

I have a Sho-Bud D-10 Pro III Custom 8/4 with a home made case that I will let go for S1750.00 & will pay shipping. Has the wide pedals and has some bar dings between the necks, but is in pretty good shape otherwise. Will e-mail pics if you are interested.

Actually, the Dekley that Duane has for sale has 7 knee levers on it instead of 5.

I have Derby #3 that was built for Boogie Sherrad. I bought from Charlie when Boogie got his second Derby in I think '92. I bought a slightly used Derby (Buddy cut a couple of records with it) about '98 and Charlie went over the #3 to get it ready to sell but I never got around to it. I could send pictures if you are interested and want to make an offer on it.

Thanks

Jimmy
