Last weekend in Dallas at the TSGA Jamboree I met Tom Palmer of D2F Covers.
He had his vendor table not far from ours and he came over with a guy who wanted to see how the D2F Steeler's Choice Pro seat cover would fit on a Steeler's Choice Seat (we had 2 SC seats there - Herbie's and mine)
Well, it fit perfectly and I saw right away what a well made innovation this cover is.
It completely covers the seat and zips up nicely, covering all 6 sides with tough padded material.
Not only does it protect the seat from getting scratched and scuffed in transit - it protects upholstry, other gear, people etc., from getting scored and scraped by the metal parts of the seat.

I told him I'd take one, but as luck would have it he had just sold the last one he had with him.
So I ordered one from him on the spot, and it arrived yesterday - pretty darn quick I'd say!

Tom is a good guy to do business with and he makes an excellent product.
I haven't checked out his other covers, but I'd bet they're all equally well made.
His web site is http://d2fcovers.com

D2F stands for "Designed 2 Fit" - very appropriate.

Yea I have to agree. The products are great and Tom is excellent to deal with. He has made me a few custom order covers for various things and every time they fit like a glove and they look great. They also wear good. All of his products I have still look like new.

I have two covers for my pair of NV-112s - I must have had them for two years now, and they've done a lot of miles.

They're the perfect solution for when you're carrying the amps in your own car, or even under the bus, and they're sturdy enough to protect the amps and take any casual knocks.

How much is the 'Steelers' Choice' cover? I may have to have two of those next!

Visiting with Tom is one of the highlights of my trips to Dallas and St. Louis. All of my country band's amps are covered with D2F. I picked up a cover for my new Steelseat in Dallas, which will make it my 6th D2F cover. It certainly won't be my last. Tom is a gem to deal with. These covers are very high quality, and not bulky. You can fold them up at the gig when not in use and poke them in the back of your amp, steel case, whatever. D2F is a solid, well-made, no-brainer product.....just the kind I like.

Tom, is there a possibility of getting a 112 cover with a removable back? The reason I am asking is because my amp sits in a Sound Enhancer. I would love to be able to cover it when I am not using it and have the option of having a velcro'd or zipper back for transporting it.

Thanks

I keep my guitars and Amp's covered with the equipment I bought from Tom. They are the BEST on the market, and have saved me lots of unwanted marks and scratches on steels and amps. Not only that but he is as fast getting them to you as anyone I have bought from on the forum.. Ron

Tom is great to deal with. I have a cover for two amps, my steel, volume pedals, and effects units. All the covers fit like a glove.

I got my cover for my NV112 and I wanted it about a half inch longer. No problem. Tom replaced it and paid the postage. Good dealer and a great product.

I just ordered a cover from Tom last night, for a Fender '57 tweed twin reissue. Had heard so many good things about D2F, figured I'd give it a try.

Another unsolicited testimonial:

I ordered a cover from Tom at D2F for my new Nashville 112. He kept me posted on the status of the order through email, when it was going to be shipped, etc.

My cover arrived on Saturday. It is even nicer than I had expected. Despite the descriptions I had read (and despite the raves everyone here on the Forum gave), from past experience with amp covers, I expected some padded version of a plastic-like vinyl cover.

In fact, the cover is beautiful, the exterior a woven fabric (even feels nice). It is clearly very well-made, even down to the stitching. The stitching is better quality than many items of clothing I've got in my closet.

A pleasure dealing with someone who obviously cares about quality and then backs it up with customer service.

Tom also has a nifty little cover bag for the StroboFlip tuner as well - although I don't think he has it up on his website at this stage.

I can't recommend Tom enough - I've had him do covers for odd-ball sized amps, like a wide-panel '54 Tweed Twin and an early model fender reverb unit. His work is impeccable, and I just ordered a cover for my S10 Emmons. He's usually the one to answer the phone when you call and will send you a sizing worksheet for custom work.

He's a pleasure to deal with, and I'm happy to recommend him.

While I was at the ISGC in St Louis I ordered 5 custom amp covers from Tom - 3 for my NV 112s, 1 for my VK 112 and 1 for my 47 Fender Pro.
I asked Tom to add a flap underneath so the amps would be protected on all 6 sides.
The covers arrived today, and they are PERFECT!
His custom work is excellent.
I would recommend D2F covers to anyone who wants to protect their equipment from damage during transport. They also protect other items and vehicle interior from being scraped up by the amps.
They are much lighter than flight cases and take up less space.

It just occurred to me that I still need a cover for my bass amp - it's a GalleonKruger Backline, and it's oddly shaped to say the least.
But I have no doubt that Tom can handle it.
