I finally got around to learning this solo. The execution is super smooth and it's a great ride. I believe it was done on C6; however I can post the E9 tab if anyone is interested.

It uses pedal 7 quite a bit, so the tab makes it look difficult. It's easier to understand if you give the record a listen. Enjoy!

Here it is, John. It's a little more scattered about, but still playable.

Kyle,
I can't thank you enough for this. I put considerable effort into learning this solo in the past with no progress. I'm a hack, but I'm really a hack on the 6th stuff. I had no idea there was 5-up position using the 7th pedal that makes all that work out. I play a universal tuning, so I went through a conversion of tab. Once I noticed that 5-up with pedal 7, I didn't need the tab. It all fell in place.

Somebody tell me I'm a steel guitar moron, or tell me you are surprised about the 5-up 7th pedal with the vertical lever lower deal.

Thanks Kyle.

No problem Terry. Glad it helped. That pedal 7 is where a lot of your pseudo-E9 licks are found on the C6.

I had only used the 7th pedal for diminished stuff. I never imagined a 5-up application for it. Do you have any history on this, with regard to any solos that use this?
