It would seem that either no one seems to know or no one seems to care.

I have an Emmons GS-10, serial #400. The factory told me that it was shipped in January 1974.

About five years ago or so, Bobbie at Emmons told me my sunburst lacquer GS-10, serial number 161 GS, was built and shipped in 1973.

Assuming the serial numbers are sequential, it would be reasonable to assume your #352 GS was built circa '73 or early '74. It would also be reasonable to assume Burlington turned out lotsa GS-10s in '73.

Thank you Jack. Steve's number 400 was deliver Jan. 1974 so I would think mine is 1973. Yours is mighty pretty. They sound good.

I concur; they sound really good. It's a shame they receive so little respect. With the addition of a Black Rock-style neck, and adjustable legs, they are very viable instruments. Relatively light weight, and they won't break the bank.

My first steel was an Emmons GS-10. After I'd gotten it for Christmas in 1999, I sent a little email to Bobbe Seymour and he said it was a 1974. It had three pedals and one knee lever. I remember hearing that all GS model Emmons guitars were built in the seventies.
