Is there a policy here on the forum concerning the selling of used instruction materials. Such as books, CDs, DVDs? I'm referring to copyright etc. |

no, selling an original copy is not a violation.
Think of the used record and CD shops as an example.
simply..
Copyright violations are if you make COPIES of records, tapes, CD,s Books, Movies etc which ARE copyrighted materials , then you keep the original and sell the copies.
If you are the owner of an original copy of something, you are free to sell it, give it away, burn it, feed it to your Goat etc....you are just not free to make copies and sell the copies..unless you pay the appropriate royalties.
The most traveled road example of copy violation is making a recording of someone else's song, then selling it or even giving it away, whatever, without securing the appropriate permission. Actually even playing it over the internet is a violation.
