I intend to put some BIAB tracks on an IPod player (for more mobility) and have no idea how to do it!!! Also,,,is there one player that would be better for this application than another? This is something that I saw Mike Auldridge and a couple more guys using in Dallas and seems like a great idea,,,,IPod in shirt pocket,,,small cable to amp CD input and ,,viola,,,instant band!!!

At the very least, you could burn the BIAB tracks to CD, load the CD into itunes and load itunes to your ipod. There is probably a more direct route.

I have ALL of my tracks on my iPOD (30 gB w/ video)

Sometimes when I play with a group at a local legion hall... I get there a little early while the legion puts on a dinner. I usually, set up my iPOD and play to tracks for a while to warm up.

I think the iPOD is one of the greatest inventions ever!!!

I don't go anywhere without it....car, work, bike riding, running, everywhere!

What Tim Harr said! The iPod is an invaluable listening and learning tool.

Is there a way in BIAB to simply convert a track to an MP3? If so, does the song just play one time through? What if you have it looping, what do you end up with? Probably dumb questions, I'm barely even a newbie with my BIAB for Mac!

this will listen to your computer play music and automatically turn the songs into mp3's... then just drag the finished products into your favorite playlist in itunes.

simple and works on both platforms mac and pc..

this will also allow you to record wolfgangs vault and internet radio.... which is helpful to some, not so much for many.

Randy, that's a good idea. I thought there was some way to do the conversion in BIAB and that it would be cleaner. But I use Audio Hijack Pro currently to tape students' steel lessons, it doesn't have the time limit I discovered in GarageBand, so I could use it for BIAB, too, I reckon; sounds clean to me.

The newer version of BIAB will convert midi to wave but it's easier to load the midi file into I Tunes and I Tunes will Convert it to MP3 or Wave and a couple other formats (you can choose which one in preferences)
Just Hightlight the Midi file
click on Advanced in the I tunes Tool Bar
and you will see the option to convert to audio.
Be aware that both files will now be in your I tunes
you can then delete the midi file.
