Question about Oahu Lolana Lap Steel

Trying to find replacement pots for a 1950 Oahu Lolana lap steel. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

are they both not working or just scratchy? if scratchy, you can try twisting them back and forth a bunch of times. if that doesn't work, try deoxit.

if not working at all, you may want to try stew mac but send them an email first. there are probably a bunch that will work but you need to find out what type they are. logarithmic/audio or linear.

last but not least, you can take them apart and clean them up, but, that is a tedious job.

Thanks Michael. I am aware of the various methods of cleaning a pot but these puppies are old and need to be replaced. I think I have found what I'm looking for at Stew Mac. Thanks again for your reply!

That model is actually called the "Iolana" (first letter is i). It means "soaring like a hawk" in Hawaiian. I think Oahu called it that because the two splayed headstocks look somewhat like a bird in flight. I notice that a lot of web sites are misspelling it nowadays.

The "I" is often mistaken for a "J" (Jolana). It does look a lot like a J.
